Subject: We were looking around the wat in relative quiet since there were no tour busses when all these saffron robed novice monks spilled out of their classroom and started loading pickup trucks. They were apparently going for a weekend spiritual retreat. Every man Thai aspires to become a monk for varying lengths of time somewhere in his life.
